 E. C. A.  TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK

HELP US MAKE THIS A SPECIAL WEEK FOR OUR TEACHERS!

MAY 5, 2008 TO MAY 9, 2008

What is in a classroom?  A classroom holds the future of the world, our city and our state. Anyone of its students could be a future president, judge, congressmen, business leader, doctor, lawyer, teacher, minister and the list goes on.  The leader of that classroom is the teacher.  That teacher has an awesome responsibility to not only teach academics and provide spiritual guidance, but that teacher is helping to mold the future citizens of this world. Each day presents them with a fragile opportunity to improve today, tomorrow and all the tomorrows to come.  Teaching is the profession that teaches all the other professions.

Below is a calendar with suggestions to help make this week especially nice for our teachers.

Monday - May 5, 2008 Bring your teacher a flower day!  It can be   a real flower or a picture of your favorite flower.   Quote for the day:  “The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book.”

Tuesday – May 6, 2008 Bring your teacher a piece of fresh fruit or chocolate day!      Quote for the day  “I like a teacher who gives you something to take home to think about besides homework.”

Wednesday – May 7, 2008 Bring your teacher a picture of   yourself!    Quote for the day: “What the teacher is is more important that what he or she teaches.”

Thursday – May 8, 2008 Bring your teacher a card or special note telling her or him what makes them special to you.  Quote for the day: “A teacher effects eternity; he or she can never tell where their influence stops.”

Friday – May 9, 2006 Surprise your teacher day!

A very special thank you to all our parents and students who make this a special week for our teachers!

Once again, this is a important  meeting and the last meeting of this school year!   Please make plans to be there.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Honoring our Teachers!

It is that time of year again.  The time we honor our teachers.  May 5 through May 9 is Teacher Appreciation Week.  We are grateful for the teachers at ECA and it is with deep appreciation that we especially honor them this week.  Below is our calendar for Teacher Appreciation Week.  On May 8th the teachers will have a luncheon.  If any parent would be willing to help decorate or serve, please send an e mail to gjohnson@alfains.com or send a note with your child.
