Teacher Appreciation Week

 

Honoring our Teachers!

It is that time of year again.  The time we honor our teachers.  May 5 through May 9 is Teacher Appreciation Week.  We are grateful for the teachers at ECA and it is with deep appreciation that we especially honor them this week.  Below is our calendar for Teacher Appreciation Week.  On May 8^th the teachers will have a luncheon.  If any parent would be willing to help decorate or serve, please send an e mail to gjohnson@alfains.com or send a note with your child. 

 

Essay and Poster Contests

Our essay contest and poster contest will be as follows:

The essay contest this year is open to 5th through 12th grade. The essay should be submitted double spaced and printed on college rule, if a computer is not available.  The student name and grade should be placed on the back of the last page of the essay in the upper right corner.  The essay should be no more than 500 words.  Essays will be judged on how well the theme is presented, grammar and spelling.  The theme for this year is:  "Teachers Who Inspire Students are Like Gardeners Cultivating a Garden.

 

The Poster Contest this year is open to K4 - 4th grade.  The poster should be submitted on a half-size poster board with the student's name and grade on the back in the uppoer right corner.  The theme for this year is:  My favorite thing to do at School.

A grade winner will be selected as follows:  K4 - K5; 1st - 4th; 5th - 8th; 9th - 12th.  Each overall grade winner will receive a $25 Walmart Gift Card.

 

All entries must be turned into the school by May 5.  NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE.

 

Winners will be announced on Friday, May 9th.
